Adirondack ATV ClubThe Adirondack ATV Riders Club, Inc. is proud to be a land owner in St. Lawrence county. They have recently purchased 230 acres in the Town of Pitcairn, two miles past of Harrisville, NY on Rt. 3. It is their intention to create an ATV recreation park with a trailhead, campsites, clubhouse, drag racing track and rodeo track, among other things.

This year they will sponsor their Fifth Annual Adirondack ATV Rodeo on August 11 at their own park and they are pleased to announce a new event, ATV Drag Racing on June 9. They hope that these events will bring a great deal of enjoyment to the area residents as well as attract many attendees from other areas. In the past, their rodeo has been a big hit with attendance rising sharply each year.

Adirondack ATV Riders Club Inc. was formed in 1996 for the purpose of promoting the sport of ATVing through safe training, public awareness and respect for the environment. They are a family oriented group that enjoys riding ATV's an having fun, with a further goal of promoting user cooperation (such as "shared trails") with other outdoor and environmentally aware people.

It is the club's mission to create a state-wide forum of open communication with ATV enthusiasts and the public. This partnership will help them to raise the public image of the sport, as well as establish a statewide trail system and open new riding areas.

The club sends out a quarterly newsletter and they hold monthly meetings every second Thursday of the month, except November. Each year they set up a calendar of events with many camp and ride weekends scheduled as well as their Annual ATV Rodeo. This year they are adding ATV Drag Races. Many times they join other ATV clubs at their location or invite them to ride with them at theirs. All members must wear helmets at club sponsored rides and all ATVs are required to be registered and insured. Club dues are payable each year in January and range in price from $15.00 to $40.00.
