Edinboro Ski Association, Inc. presents:. . .
The 2nd annual ATV
and Dirtbike Rally starting at Mountain View Ski
Area, 14510 Mt. Pleasant Road, just 6 miles east
of Edinboro, PA.. Proceeds benefit not-for-profit
organizations, and there are no paid positions.
Start
off the 35 - mile trail climbing the slopes of Mountain
View Ski Area. Then enjoy your ride through the
scenic farm and woodland areas on private properties.
The ride terminates as you head back down the ski
slopes.
The
fun begins on. . . August 18th, 2001 - Dirtbikes
start 8 to 9 am, ATV's 9am to noon.
Pre-registration ONLY β Saturday June 16,
Sunday, June 24, Sunday July 8, Saturday July 28,
Saturday August 11 or Sunday August 12 β 1 p.m.
to 3 p.m. at Mountain View Ski Area.
*NOTE: HELMETS MUST BE PRESENTED AT REGISTRATION.
Where?
Mountain View Ski Area at Edinboro, PA is located
20 miles south of Erie and approximately 110 miles
north of Pittsburgh, east of Cleveland, and southwest
of Buffalo. The ski area is 8 miles off I-79. Take
exit 38 and follow Rt. 6N east through Edinboro
for approximately 6 miles. Turn right on Old Rt.
86 (Mt. Pleasant Rd.) There is a Mountain View Ski
Area sign at this intersection. Take Old Rt. 86
for about 2.7 miles.

What
you need to knowβ¦
All
participants must pay a $30 registration fee, sign
a waiver, and receive a helmet sticker. All minors
(under age 18) must also have a parent/guardian
sign their waiver in order to participate. Only
one rider per vehicle is permitted. All ATVβs and
dirt bikes must meet PA State Laws. Minimum safety
equipment required for the race includes goggles/shield,
jeans, full shirt, and over the ankle boots. Fuel
may be carried in a government-approved container,
which is securely fastened. (No milk jugs!)

will be NO refunds.

. . Remember, the reason we are able to host this
event is because of the generosity of the landowners.
Your behavior this year will influence our ability
to use or get new trails next year. PLEASE OBEY
ALL PA STATE LAWS. Stay on the designated trail
and obey all trail signs. Watch for road crossings
and obey crossing guards. Hazard areas are for experts
only and will be marked. An alternate route will
be available to by pass these areas. Rangers will
monitor all parts of the trail. Their job is to
assist participants when needed and to enforce trail
rules.
Poker
Run. . . Poker run participants will get cards at
the beginning and throughout the run. Those participants
with the best hand at the end of the rally will
win prizes of $100, $75, $50 and more.
Food,
fuel, T-shirts, caps, and wash up. . .Food and beverages
can be purchased at the ski area and at the mid-trail
stop. Fuel will be available to purchase at the
mid-trail stop and will be dispensed in one-gallon
containers. If you require a mixed fuel, you must
carry your own in a government approved container,
which is securely fastened. (No milk jugs!)
Quality
T-shirts and caps commemorating this first annual
event will be on sale at the registration tent.
Vehicle washing will be available for a minimal
fee after the run.
