The Marathon Off-Road ATV / Motorcycle Club
The
Marathon Off-Road
ATV/Motorcycle Club
A new outdoor recreation club
has formed in the Central Wisconsin/Wausau area
called Marathon Off-Road. Open
to both All Terrain Vehicle and Motorcycle riders
and enthusiasts, the club has four main objectives:
To explore, expand and participate
in off-road riding opportunities.
To maintain existing riding
and trail systems in the area.
To provide an educational
resource for off-road ATV/Motorcycle riding.
To provide a volunteer resource
for the community.
And the most important,
to have fun!
The club has been meeting on
Thursday nights in the meeting room of Wausau
Motorsports, 4101 Rib Mountain Drive Wausau.
On November 29th at 7pm the club
will present the final version of its by-laws,
and start the quest for new members. Also the
plans for 2002 activities will be presented.
Marathon County (along with
the rest of Central Wisconsin) lead the state
in ATV registrations. Off-road motorcycle riding
and racing are also strong in this area. With
the formation of Marathon Off-Road riders
and enthusiasts on two wheels and four will
be able to get together and enhance the sport.
