11^TH ANNUAL “Spring Fling”

FUN RUN 2002

2 BIG DAYS –  April 6-7/02

At Middle  Waddell Staging Area, Trailhead & Campground,
Capital State Forest (W of Olympia, WA)

Event open to ATV’s & Motorcycles

LONG COURSE:  Approximately 45 miles for experienced riders

SHORT COURSE:  Approximately 20 miles for intermediate riders.

Small Riding area across from the staging area, NO RIDING in staging area: enter & exit trails only

WA ATV Assoc. Supports;  Multi-use of; public lands, recreational activities & land access, trail & riding projects, resource conservation & education, search & rescue, emergency services to aid youth in time of need/trauma, the Blue Ribbon Coalition, the Tread Lightly program, the ASI rider training program.

ALL RIDERS WILL BE CLASSED INTO 1 OF 5 GROUPS FOR SAFETY:

1^st out Expert Bike, 2^nd out Expert ATV
3^rd out Recreational Bikes, 4^th  out Recreational ATV’s,

5^th out Recreational Groups / Families / Children.

TRIPS:  Saturday short course rider with highest hand will win airfare to Reno. Saturday long course rider with highest hand will win air fare to Las Vegas.  Sunday short course rider with highest hand will win airfare to Reno.  WA ATV ASSOC. “SPECIAL OFFER”  (to encourage participation-bring someone) will go into effect when there are 200 or more, paid 2-day riders. The rider with the highest combined hand from the long course on Saturday and the short course on Sunday will win air fare to Hawaii or Mexico.

Fare values set by WA ATV Assoc.

Trophies and Trips will be awarded Saturday & Sunday

Required Equipment:

• Current ORV Tags

• Approved Spark Arrestor

• Helmets

• Boots

• Gloves

• Appropriate Clothing for early season riding.

• GAS TRUCK:  Leaves @ 9am, approved gas cans only

Organized Camping Available @ Middle Waddell Campground & Overflow Areas, for those who pre-register, we will do our best to hold a spot for you, but the DNR campground is open to public also.
