Outstanding trail work will be recognized by the 2002 Achievement Awards program for projects funded by the Recreational Trails Program (RTP). The awards are sponsored by the Coalition for Recreational Trails (CRT), a federation of all national trail-related organizations and many regional trail groups.

The awards will be presented in Washington, DC, during Great Outdoors Week June 2002 as part of the Coalition's ongoing effort to build awareness and appreciation of this highly successful program. RTP has greatly enhanced trails throughout the country, and made it possible for every state in America to have a grants program for trail construction and improvement, volunteer efforts, and youth programs for trails.
