Southern ATV Clubs: Mississippi Edition

There are numerous clubs and organizations across the state of Mississippi that enjoy hitting the “Off-Road”. From mud slingers to trail blazers, you are sure to find a group in your location that suits you and your style.

Southern Mississippi:
4 Wheelin’ 4 Christ, Inc. (www.4wheelin4christ.com) is a Christian group of family oriented folks that love to ride the open trails and spread the gospel all at the same time. This club is based in Liberty, MS and is attempting to hold quarterly rides. An entire family can join for $25 each year. They have a forum on ATV Source so anyone can join in on any of their topics. For more information email them. info@4wheelin4christ.com.

South Mississippi ATV Association (www.smatva.com) is based in Hattiesburg, MS, but attends rides and events all over the Southeastern part of the US. SMATVA is a fun loving, family oriented group that enjoys the great outdoors while trying to preserve it for the future. While working with their local U.S. Forest Department, they have devoted numerous hours of volunteer work in aiding to preserve ATV and OHV trail systems. The yearly dues are $5 per person or $10 for families. Check the SMATVA forum topics frequently at ATV Source or email them at smatva@hotmail.com.

Central Mississippi:
Central Mississippi ATV Association (www.cmatva.com) was started in the capitol city by a few riders looking for others that shared a common goal. In the near future they will lead the way for trail construction in the Bienville National Forest District. If you live in the Jackson area and seem to find yourself worried that you might not have anyone to ride with, give these guys a call. They make rides often and are always welcoming in new people. Nothing better than a friend to share some OHV riding with and a good grilled burger. Their forums can also be found on ATV Source or email Jeremy at jguzzardo@connerindustries.com.

Extreme 4x4 (www.extreme4x4.net) is located in the Jackson area. This group rides anything off-road. From ATVs to trucks, they invite all to join and ride. Unusually, Extreme 4x4 does not have any membership dues. Just join their forum and blaze the trails as an Extreme 4x4 member. They ride mostly local areas, but they have fun anywhere they are slingin’ mud. For more information, shoot them an email at greg@extreme4x4.net.

The Pearl River Mud Dawgs (www.pearlrivermuddawgs.com) are based in the Ridgeland- Jackson area. If you like a “wholelotta” wild mixed with a “wholelotta” mud, then check these guys out. They ride “extreme toys in extreme mud”. If you have ever been to a mud event in the south, then you have probably seen these guys slingin’ their fair share of mud. Contact Bruno for more info: bruno@pearlrivermuddawgs.com.

The South Mud Kings (www.thesouthmudkings.com) are just that “kings of mud”. If you love to sling a lot of mud or watch others get down and dirty, then you might want check these good folks out. They also base themselves in the Jackson-Florence area. The Kings love to bring other outdoor enthusiasts together on the web site. Click on their forums section to see other groups from hunters to off-road clubs. For information or questions email them at muddybaldman@thesouthmudkings.com.

ATV clubs and organizations are increasing at an alarming rate. Riding areas, however, are decreasing rapidly each and every day. Join a local ATV or off-road organization to help our voices become louder in keeping our trails open. There is power in numbers! If I have left a club out, I apologize. Just notify ATV Source to have your group posted on the ATV Source club listing. ATV Source is how I found my local organization!
