How will you
spend your weekends this summer?
Will you, as an ATV or dirt bike enthusiast,
blast the summer away on trail rides, do your
thing on your own private property, or just wait
until the fall to use your utility ATV in a
hunting environment?
Any of these pursuits can be very satisfactory,
but there is a new “face in the crowd” in South
Carolina.
This new face is
Carolina Adventure World, and
this venue promises to be the Shangri-la of fun
and games for all off-road enthusiasts.
According to their website,
Carolina Adventure World is located 2 miles east of I-77 at exit 46
on Camp Welfare Road in Fairfield County, South
Carolina, and approximately 30 minutes north of
Columbia, South Carolina, and 50 minutes south
of Charlotte, North Carolina. There is a map
showing their location on the web site.
Directions, and any other pertinent information
can be obtained by calling these folks at (803)

Experts were brought in to develop the courses.

Steve Uhles of Cloud Peaks and Rich Winkler of
Dirt Wurx U.S.A.
The park is a thriving nature preserve, and
there is a youth area with go-karts and more.
Lake, streams, waterfalls, picnic areas, scenic
natural areas, and even a beaver pond are
present here. Also offered is The Original
Canopy Tour that provides a super fly-over at
Championship MOTO and the Deep Woods Excursion.

Accommodations include overnight stays at rustic
campsites, or you may choose comfortable cabins
for you and your family (more complete
information on accommodations is offered farther
on in this article).
If the aforementioned accommodations are not of
your choosing, there is a lodge and welcome
center with wide verandas, swings, rocking
chairs, fans to keep cool and fireplaces for
warmth.
Park policies and pricing can be obtained from
their website. Annual passes are available now,
as the park was just recently opened. However,
those who visit the park must sign a liability
waiver. The form can be downloaded from the CAW
website.
Also, at this time there are some employment
opportunities available at the park.
