CJ’s 2009 OHV Tour
for a Cure
There is so much controversy going on in the
off-road community today, that we NEED some good
news, some positive headlines, some quality time
in the spotlight! This is one of the main
objectives of this tour.
We are going to take the nation by storm as we
go on tour conquering every ATV and OHV park in
our path, only stopping along the way to
challenge an event or two here and there. Throw
in a couple of amazing charity functions, and
you have the makings of CJ’s 2009 OHV Tour for a
Cure.
We have a full line-up of private, public,
local, state and federal ATV and OHV parks to
cover in 2009 with more being added to the
calendar of events all the time. We are also
adding a full review of some of the nation’s top
RUV and Side x Side trail systems as we go
along.
We have a constantly updated calendar of events
available so that readers and riders can follow
to the different locations and help make a
showing that will let the rest of the world
know–The ATV/OHV community is not just a bunch
of renegades out there destroying public
property, running amuck, getting killed, and
making trouble everywhere we go. We are an
active community involved in helping to improve
our lives and the lives of those around us,
locally, statewide and nationally.
As you may have gathered from the title, this
tour is about more than bringing about positive
awareness for the ATV/OHV community. It is also
about helping others in need.
Each event that we have on our calendar will
be the means for raising awareness as well as
funds to support some of our favorite charities.
Different sponsors, groups, businesses,
participants, spectators, and other riders are
pledging donations to the charity of their
choice for each mile that we ride. There will
also be a running total of monies pledged to the
different charities online so that you can keep
up with your favorite charity and see how much
we have raised for it so far.
I hope that each of you will step up to the
plate and take part in this Tour for a Cure.
Even if you can only pledge .50 cents a mile for
your favorite trail system or park, that will
put us a few dollars closer to our goal. It’s
more important now than ever that we all do
whatever we can do to make the ATV/Off-road
community shine brightly in this time of such
controversy, when so many groups and
organizations are against us and trying to take
away one riding place after another. Let’s work
together to show the world we are here for the
long run and for the good of all.
For more information about this tour or any of
the events or sponsors, please visit
www.CJRenaJohnson.com. You can also contact
the organizers there to make your donation or
take part in any of the activities. If you are a
trail or park owner, event organizer, or
participant, please check out the available
opportunities for us to visit your area. If you
are a sponsor, wishing to make a pledge or talk
to us about displaying your banner or ad during
this tour, again you can do so through the
“contact us” page on the same website.
We look forward to meeting many of you out on
the trails and at different events throughout
this tour. If you decide to come to any of
these, please look us up. We will have a banner
at our campsite displaying our tour name as well
as banners for such backers as ATVSource.com.
Please also let the people at the different
offices and welcome centers know that you heard
about the tour and are there to support it and
help make the nation aware of the positive
aspects of the ATVing community as a whole!
As always: Decide now to have an awesome day!
