Motovan

Motovan’s 2008 Off Road Apparel
Media Day a Great Success

Friday July 6th, 2007 (Boucherville, Quebec) Motovan held an Off Road Apparel Media Day on Wednesday June 27th, 2007 at St-Roch de l’Achigan Motocross Track. The idea was to assemble all major MX and ATV magazines from across Canada in order to launch its new line of Xtreme Off Road Gear, MXRx Off Road Protection and Zox Helmets. The day turned out to be an enormous success. Along with the Media, Motovan also invited several Pro Riders who currently sport Xtreme, MXRx and Zox for the 2007 racing season. Enduro riders Guy Giroux and Michel Metcalfe as well as CMRC National participants Marc-Antoine Généreux, Kaven Benoit, Karel Benoit were all present. Bianka Beaudet who is currently the defending champion in the Quebec Women’s ATV Championship was also present showing off her ATV skills, which has already won her 6 races this year.

We began the day with a presentation from Motovan Corporation’s President James Paladino. “Let me begin by thanking you all for accepting our invitation and thanks to our marketing department for their hard work in putting this event together,” declared James. “Xtreme riding gear was created in Southern California in 1992. Since that time Xtreme has sponsored several top riders such as Larry Ward, Jeff Matiasevich, Larry Roeseler, Mike Metzger, Gary Denton and many others. South of the border Xtreme is very well known for their famous T-shirt designs. Motovan has recently entered into an agreement with Xtreme whereas Motovan would handle worldwide marketing and distribution. With Motovan, the brand will be taking a different direction. The most notable changes are: value added Xtreme helmets loaded with features and competitively priced quality gear. Helmets and gear are developed in order to satisfy the week-end warrior as well as the competitive racer,” explains James Paladino. “For the Xtreme helmets, there are 2 models available and a third is on the way. Available now are: The entry level MotoPoint and mid-level AirMax. As for the gear (pants, jerseys and gloves), there are 2 models available and a third is also on the way. Available now are: The entry level X-Lite and mid-level Excel. Other items such as goggles, gear bags, kidney belts, enduro jackets and casual wear will also be available fairly soon.”

“The second brand I would like to discuss is ZOX helmets,” stated James. “The ZOX brand was created by Motovan in 2005. ZOX helmets are designed and marketed by Motovan and select distributors around the world. ZOX helmets are developed with the valuable input of riders, dealers and distributors. These helmets are loaded with special features and surpass all testing specifications such as DOT, SNELL and ECE standards. These helmets are of the highest quality for the selected target prices our consumers are willing to pay. Three models of off-road helmets are currently available and a fourth is on the way. Available now are the entry level Roost X, the mid-level Forza and the high level Air Attack.”

“Finally the third brand I would like to introduce is MXRx Protection. Motovan created the MXRx brand in 2006. You will find chest protectors, goggles, hydration systems and other protective products under the MXRx brand. The new and exciting item that will appear under MXRx are very unique Motocross boots. MXRx products are all based on our quest for high quality at prices consumers are willing to pay,” described James.

After a short question period the Media was given their own complimentary set of Xtreme Gear and a Zox Helmet, which they were to use while riding Motocross or ATV’s the remainder of the day. The Media and Pro Riders all got geared up and ready to go for what was going to be a beautiful day for riding.

After a short lunch break where Motovan’s Marketing Department grilled some burgers and hot dogs on the barbecue it was back to the track for some more riding. Motovan took the opportunity to have a photo shoot with all Pro Riders that were present.

Despite the fact that is was a very hot and humid day, Motovan, the Media and the Riders were happy with the way the day unfolded. Again on behalf of Motovan I would like to thank all members of the Media and Pro Riders who were present. You are the reason that our 2008 Off-Road Apparel Media Day was so successful.
