We knew it wasnt going to be long before we started to see aftermarket products for the newest Sport quad from Yamaha. Pro Design has developed a Pro-Flow Foam Filter System for the Raptor.

After having heard all the major complaints about the airbox design and airfilter installation problems on the various Yamaha sport quads, the Yamaha Engineers set out to make the airfilter installation a little easier and less prone to misalignments, filter tears, or non-sealing problems. The Raptors airbox and filter system has been completely redesigned.

The airbox and filter system has been improved by only allowing the filter to fit one way and does seat and seal itself better. This new design almost eliminates the misalignment and sealing problems, but it must be held in place by the airbox lid. Yamaha has designed the lid on the Raptor not to close if the filter is not seated properly. This means the Raptor cant be ran without the airbox lid using the OEM filter. Another downfall is that the foam seal on the filter can still be ripped during installation.

You knew the aftermarket companies would take full advantage of this. Pro-Design has long been known for its Pro-Flow Foam Filter Set. The Pro-Flow system developed for the Raptor is CNC-machined and O-Ring sealed to the airbox, bolting on in minutes and save hundreds of $$$$$ in repair bills by keeping out the dirt and sand normally passed by the cheap stock filter.
