HomePress Releases › Proposed EPA Emission Standards for Motorized Recreational Vehicles

WildAlert, our email opponents on the pro-closure side, recently released an alert to their list about the proposed EPA Emission standards for motorized recreational vehicles (two-stroke dirt-bikes, all-terrain vehicles (ATVs), and snowmobiles). In their alert they state that... “This proposal sets weak standards -- especially for snowmobiles -- and will not substantially reduce air and noise pollution from off-road vehicles unless strengthened significantly.”

In light of this call for even more stringent standards than those proposed, it is IMPERATIVE that you send a letter to the EPA on this issue if you have not already done so. If you have already sent in your comments, then please forward this email to as many potential supporters a you can! It is vital that our side be heard on this important issue!

To send a letter online, just go to:

The deadline for comments is December 19, 2001!
