NAC’S/CANNONDALE ATV
RACING TEAM ANNOUNCES ROSTER

Nacs & Cannondale Racing Team Logo(November 26, 2001) The new Nac’s/Cannondale ATV racing team has announced its roster for its premier season. The four-man squad will feature Kim Kuhnle and Tyson Thomas racing GNCC events, with Ben Jackson and Nate Leverenz competing at GNC races.

Kuhnle, currently ninth in the GNCC pro ranks, is an 11-year racing veteran and has won the CRA (Competition Riders of America) series seven years in a row. A remarkably consistent rider, Kuhnle has finished in the GNCC top 10 in each of his nine years as a pro. Thomas is the reigning GNCC 250A National Champion, and he’ll compete next year in the 4-Stroke Stock class.

Ben Jackson, 22, is the ninth ranked Pro on the GNC Series. A resident of Raymond, Ohio, he has been riding ATVs for 18 years and racing them actively for 10. 21-year-old Nate Leverenz is ranked sixth in the GNC 250A class. Although he has only been racing for three years, Leverenz has finished as high as fourth in the 250A MX series, and seventh in the 250 Pro-Am MX series. Now in his final year at Wichita State University, Leverenz is completing work on a Bachelors Degree in Entrepreneurial Business.

While competing at all GNCC and GNC events, the team’s two co-sponsors will have a substantial presence off the race course as well. The squad will travel with a large team truck that will carry demo models from Cannondale’s line of ATVs, and also promote Nac’s business selling high-performance ATV parts.

According to Cannondale’s Scott Montgomery, the new team and its ATV sponsor have much in common. “Both the team and Cannondale are strong up-and-comers,” said Montgomery. “We’re not the biggest ATV manufacturer, and our roster isn’t loaded with World Champions. But Cannondale and our riders are young, hungry and aggressive. We’re all looking forward to making our mark, turning some heads, and surprising a lot of the competition.”

Jim Naccarato of Nac’s Racing shares Montgomery’s excitement. “Nac’s and Cannondale are looking to take ATV racing to the next level,” said Naccarato. “The team has a strong, promising roster and two very well-respected title sponsors. We’re also assembling a great group of co-sponsors that we’ll be announcing shortly. 2002 should be an exciting year!”

Nac’s/Cannondale team racers will compete aboard Cannondale Moto 440 models in GNC motocross events, with the Cannondale Blaze 440 models seeing action in GNCC races. Cannondale is the world’s premier manufacturer of high-tech, high-performance bicycles, and an emerging force in the motorsports industry. The company’s ATVs feature an innovative, fuel-injected 432cc dual overhead cam engine and a lightweight, twin-spar aluminum frame.

Based in Saugerties, New York, Nac’s Racing is the number-one distributor of top quality, high-performance aftermarket ATV parts. The company sells through more than 300 dealers nationwide, through several international dealers, and from a 50+ page mail-order catalog.
