Oklahoma Resident Wins
Prairie 650 Sweepstakes
Winner receives grand prize Kawasaki Prairie®
650 ATV
Wagoner,
Okla. - Kawasaki Motors Corp., U.S.A., presented to Mrs. Linda
Willis of Wagoner, Okla., a new 2002 Kawasaki Prairie® 650
all-terrain vehicle (ATV), the grand prize offered through the
company's recently concluded Prairie 650 Sweepstakes.
Tod Hammock,
district sales manager for Kawasaki, presented the new ATV to
Willis on behalf of the company at M&W Powersports in Broken
Arrow.
The Prairie 650
Sweepstakes, which was initiated in September of last year and
concluded October 31, drew more than 630,000 entries. Willis,
47, said she entered the sweepstakes at the urging of her
husband and three grown sons who are all avid outdoorsmen. And
while admitting she has never owned an ATV, Willis said she is
eager to enter the world of off-highway recreation.
"I'm ecstatic
about this," said Willis. "This is one of those so-called
'body toys' we would love to have but ordinarily can't afford.
This is a great Christmas present."
She
added that the luckiest winners are her husband and the three
sons who plan to take turns using the Prairie 650 for their
individual hunting trips.
Kawasaki unveiled the Prairie 650 in the fall of 2000. The
Kawasaki flagship ATV has received numerous accolades from the
press, including Popular Mechanics which said the Kawasaki
Prairie 650 "is the best quad we've ever ridden." Its unique
features include the ATV industry's first V-twin engine, plus
a host of other features that have catapulted Kawasaki to the
forefront of sport utility ATV design.
