Kawasaki Announces
Sales
Department Personnel Changes
IRVINE, Calif. - Kawasaki Motors Corp., U.S.A., (KMC)
has announced several personnel changes to a portion of
its sales staff, effective Jan. 1, 2002, in order to
better the company's nation-wide dealer network. The
company has also announced that it is increasing the
number of its sales regions from three to four.
Tony Murr is being
promoted from Regional Sales Manager fro the West Region
to the newly-created position of Assistant Vice
President, Sales, reporting directly to Paul Trotta,
Executive Vice President of Sales.
Murr will be responsible
for KMC's dealer network and sales strategies in the
company's West, Central, South and recently-created East
Sales Regions. In addition, he will be responsible for
various dealer support and promotion programs.
Murr began his career with
KMC in 1974 and has held numerous positions within the
company including Dealer Placement Manager and District
Sales Manager.
On the west coast, former
District Manager Jim Weston, who has been responsible
for Los Angeles area Kawasaki dealers, has been promoted
to the position of West Regional Sales Manager. He will
fill the position recently vacated by Murr and will be
based in Irvine, Calif. Weston has been with KMC since
1993.
On the east coast, Bill
Jenkins, former district manager for the New York area,
has been promoted to the position of East Regional Sales
Manager. In taking the reins of this new sales region,
he will be based at KMC's Piscataway, NJ, facility.
Jenkins joined KMC in 1988.

watercraft, ATVs, MULE™ utility vehicles, portable
generators, power products, and motorcycles. The product
lines are sold through a network of independent
retailers. The company employs more than 600 people in
the United States, with nearly 400 of them located at
the Irvine, Calif., headquarters.
