KFX™ 700 V FORCE™
STACKS UP RACE VICTORIES
From
GNCC to endurance racing, V Force is
popular with racers and
spectators
Kawasaki
Motors Corp., U.S.A., reports ATV enthusiasts' overwhelming
reception to the KFX700 V Force ATV™
continues to exceed the company's expectations. As Kawasaki
predicted when the V Force was introduced earlier this year,
much of its success is due to off-road racing victories.
Jim
Williams, Kawasaki's ATV product manager, closely tracks the
public's response to the V Force, especially in the racing
arena where it is drawing new converts to Kawasaki ATVs.
"Sports
ATV riders are a very demanding crowed when it comes to
technology and all-out performance, and we knew the best way
to promote the V Force was to go racing," said Williams. "So,
we made Grand National Cross Country racing a priority right
from the start in order to showcase its abilities.
"Kawasaki Team Green™
racers, as well as V Force-mounted privateers, have won
numerous rounds of the GNCC series since the season began, and
many are points leaders in several classes."
Doug
Douchette, ATV field support technician for Team Green, echoed
Williams' comments about the popularity of the V-twin-powered
Kawasaki. "The number of privateers racing V Force ATVs seems
to have doubled since the season started." said Douchette.
"Certainly, Kawasaki's Team Green contingency program has
helped to spur interest in racing the V Force, but it's also
interesting to watch the large number of spectators who bring
their V Force ATVs to GNCC events just to watch the Team Green
racers in action. I think it gives them a sense of connection
to Kawasaki's highly successful racing program."
But GNCC
venues aren't the only place where the V-twin-powered Kawasaki
is winning converts.
-
The Duncan Racing International Team raced a V Force around
a grueling 10-mile course through nighttime and daylight
hours to win the Bi-Annual 24-Hour Endurance Race in Plaster
City, California.
-
The desert racing team of Gilberto Santana, Ruben Martin and
Arturo Salas raced their V Force to victory in the
Over-251cc ATV Pro class of the legendary Baja 500, and also
took the first overall for the ATV classes. Notably, it
was the first time the team had raced a Kawasaki KFX700 V
Force ATV.
- At
round seven of the World Off-Road Championship Series (WORCE),
Team Green racer Doug Eichner rode his V Force to win first
place in the ATV Pro class, despite horribly muddy
conditions that literally stopped other racers in their
tracks.
Williams
said race victories, combined with the V Force's unique V-twin
engine, are also driving demand for V Force accessories and
aftermarket parts ad riders seek to customize their machines.
"Many
sport ATV enthusiasts never race their machines, but they want
to know that their ride has the capability of winning
should they choose to do so. They also want to look different
from the rest of the crowed, so we're experiencing a growing
demand for V Force accessories," said Williams.
"It's
also pleasing to see the variety of performance parts being
sold by aftermarket tuning companies--it's
a strong indication of just how popular a product is. We've
experienced this same trend with other products, like the
NINJA® sportbike line and JET SKI® personal watercraft."
