TrailPass, LLCFor the first time, ATV enthusiasts have a legal, managed network of trails of New York State utilizing private lands managed by local ATV clubs. To provide riding opportunities across the state, access passes are sold through ATV dealers and the http://www.trailpass.com/ website. In turn, TrailPass funds the local ATV clubs and provides insurance for both the clubs and the landowners.

By creating an affordable and accessible legal network of riding opportunities, TrailPass will relieve some of the problems that have arisen due to unauthorized riding in the State's forest preserves. Alex Ernst, Communications Director for the New York State Off-Highway Recreational Vehicle Association (NYSORVA) and a principal in TrailPass, LLC says, "We believe that given the option, most ATV enthusiasts would rather ride on legal, designated trails than where they are not supposed to be."

With the help of the NYS DEC Special Operations Police M.O.R.E. (Marine and Off Road Enforcement) teams, trails will be patrolled to ensure riders are properly registered, insured and adhering to New York State laws requiring proper safety and noise control equipment.

TrailPass has riding areas across the state including trails near Buffalo, Syracuse, Utica, Binghamton, Albany and Lake George covering thousands of acres and hundreds of miles. In addition to open riding areas, TrailPass is sponsoring organized rides and special passes and discounts to several private ATV parks in New York and surrounding states.
