PIAA Extreme
White Bulbs Light the Way for Winners of 12 Hours of ATV
America
 BEAVERTON,
Ore. – PIAA Extreme White H6M bulbs were all the lights that
Team Hiper Wheel needed to capture the overall and Pro Class
crowns in the grueling Maxxis 12 Hours of ATV America
endurance race, held last weekend in Ft. Dodge, Iowa.
Team Hiper Wheel drivers Matt Smiley, Chris Borich and Michael
Krachun, used PIAA Extreme White H6M halogen replacement bulbs
in their race-prepared Yamaha YFZ 450 ATV. The trio covered 64
laps of the varied and challenging 6.5-mile course, with an
overall time of 14 hours, 10 minutes and 28 seconds -- the
final four run under a cold, pitch-black Iowa sky. Sixty-eight
teams started the race.
“We didn’t have time to rig up a extra lamps so we just
swapped in a set of PIAA Extreme White bulbs,” explained
Krachun, moments after stepping off the victory podium. “It
was dark and dusty
 out
there, but the PIAA bulbs did the job. I knew they would
perform well because we even use them in our race truck.”
The PIAA Xtreme White H6M ATV bulb incorporates PIAA’s
patented XTRA halogen technology, which offers greater bulb
output without the need to increase amperage draws. The output
of a 35-watt PIAA H6M illuminates at the equivalent brightness
of a standard 55-watt halogen bulb. PIAA Xtreme White bulbs
illuminate at a Kelvin rating of 4150K. For comparison,
sunlight is 5250K a standard incandescent bulb is 2600K.
