Warn Introduces Beefy 4.0ci Winch for
Utility ATVs
INDIANAPOLIS,
Dealernews International Powersports Dealer Expo – (February 14,
2004) Warn Industries has expanded its ATV winch line,
adding the WARN 4.0ci model designed for utility vehicles such
as the Kawasaki Mule, the Gator and others. The WARN 4.0ci is
the current performance leader in the Warn ATV winch family,
equipped with enough muscle for everything from self-recovery to
moving downed trees.
The 4.0ci gets its pulling power (4,000 lbs./1814kg) from a
1.5hp high-torque 12-volt, permanent magnet motor and Warn’s
acclaimed 3-stage planetary gear train (with its 136:1 gear
ratio). Eight seal points protect the WARN 4.0ci from water and
contaminant infiltration while its steel alloy gear housing
provides exceptional durability, strength and rigidity. The
aluminum drum is also corrosion resistant and features the WARN
cable retention system which allows the user to change the cable
in the field without any tools. The beefy 2-in. drum comes with
its 60 ft. of 7/32-in. wire rope.
Warn’s
trademark attention to ease of use and reliability are reflected
in other features such as the 4.0ci’s hand-held all weather
remote control with 10-ft. (3.0m) lead, a fully sealed,
hard-working contactor pack, and a remote socket featuring
Warn’s easy, color-coded Express Install™ wiring system.
The 4.0ci weighs in at 21 lbs. (9.5 kg), is finished in a
durable gray powder coat, and comes with a limited lifetime
warranty.
