FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

VP RACING ADDS FUEL TO THE FIRE IN THE POWERSPORTS MARKET!

VP Racing FuelsSAN ANTONIO, TX (February 1, 2004) VP Racing Fuels, Inc., an industry leader in the manufacture of racing fuels and performance products, announced today the introduction of a new series of racing fuels. Called “StreetBlazeTM,” the series includes three unleaded fuels specifically engineered for high-performance motorcycles and other powersports applications, as well as high-performance street cars. “With the exploding growth of motorcycle club level racing and the sport compact performance market, VP recognizes the importance of having fuels available to meet the unique demands of these markets,” said Bruce Hendel, VP’s Global Sales Manager.

“Several of VP’s leaded racing fuels--notably MR9, MR1, MRX01 and U4--have been used in recent years with great success by the top road race, motocross, ATV and other powersports teams ,” Hendel continued. “However, we also wanted to make sure the sportsmen racers and those who simply want the top performance from their street vehicles had viable options. The StreetBlaze series of unleaded fuels is intended to address that need.”

The StreetBlaze series includes:
StreetBlazeTM 100 – Well-suited for high-performance motorcycles, ATVs, personal watercraft, karts and high performance street cars, StreetBlaze 100 is oxygenated with ethanol. Environmentally friendly, it meets California Air Resource Board (CARB) requirements and is street legal throughout the U.S. At 100 octane (R+M/2), it generates substantial power increases over premium grade 92 octane unleaded gasoline. StreetBlaze 100 works well in the latest generation of electronically-controlled turbo engines, for example the Subaru WRX.

StreetBlazeTM 101 –This 101 octane (R+M/2) fuel works well in the same applications as StreetBlaze 100, with comparable power increases. Although street legal in many states, StreetBlaze 101 is not legal in those states that restrict the use of MTBE. Customers should check their local regulations to ensure compliance prior to use.

StreetBlazeTM 103 – StreetBlazeTM 103 is the highest octane unleaded street-legal fuel in the U.S. This 103 octane (R+M/2) fuel provides power and protection equal to some leaded racing fuels. Typically allows turbo engines to raise the boost from the stock 8-10 lbs. to 20-25 lbs. It meets the new unleaded rule for AMA Pro Racing Supercross, Arenacross and Outdoor Nationals. Although street legal in many states, StreetBlaze 103 is not legal in those states that restrict the use of MTBE. Customers should check local regulations prior to use.

StreetBlaze Series Racing Fuel“In single cylinder, 4-cylinder or V-Twin applications, or engines equipped with a turbo charger, supercharger or nitrous oxide system (NOS), these oxygenated fuels will generate optimum power and performance,” Hendel affirmed. “In turbocharged or supercharged applications, StreetBlaze fuels allow an increase in boost over standard pump gas without fear of detonation. NOS users can also leverage the fuels’ higher octane ratings to step up to a more powerful nitrous oxide system. Importantly, these fuels contain no metal compounds and won’t harm catalytic converters or oxygen sensors.”

“These fuels are designed for racing applications, but will help generate optimum power and performance in any high performance powersport or automotive application,” Hendel pointed out. “StreetBlaze 100 is street legal throughout the U.S., but while StreetBlaze 101 and 103 are street legal in many states, we suggest our customers consult their local and state regulations to ensure compliance in their particular area before using these two fuels on the street. VP Racing has not conducted a nationwide search to ensure compliance in all states and local areas. We also encourage our customers to obey all traffic and safety laws. They should confine their racing activities to the track and use appropriate safety gear as well.”

“We’re confident powersports and automotive enthusiasts will enjoy the performance gains they’ll realize with this new family of fuels. Attendees at the upcoming Dealer Expo show in Indianapolis can obtain more information about these fuels at the VP Racing booth -- #709. For those interested in our other racing fuels for powersports or high performance automotive applications, they can visit our website at vpracingfuels.com or contact their regional VP corporate warehouse,” Hendel concluded.
