Finally, a charging system solution for the Yamaha YFZ450!
Rick’s Motorsport Electrics introduces a new high output
Charging kit for the Yamaha YFZ450. The new kit will run
approximately 250 watts of power and will attain this at
approximately 3000 RPMs.
Included in the charging system replacement kit is: a high
output, heavy duty stator, a heavy duty modified rectifier
regulator, and a super-strength magnetic fly wheel. All three of
these components are direct plug-in, bolt-on pieces.
“By installing this kit, your YFZ will have over twice the
power of a stock unit,” says Rick’s Motorsport Electrics
president Richard Shaw. “And there are no modifications
necessary because the pieces plug right it.”
Rick’s H.O. kit was field tested by Kelly McLean of KMS
Performance in Arizona on a turbo-charged YFZ450. “We’re really
excited about this kit because everyone knows that the YFZ’s
charging system is lacking,” says McLean. “And Rick’s kit kicks
in at a low RPM so you can utilize all that power.”
