FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: RIDGE RUNNER OF IDAHO
DELIVERS ITS FIRST 800 EFI RUGGED TERRAIN VEHICLE
Nampa, ID – The extra horsepower in an 800 EFI Ridge Runner
makes a significant difference in some people’s minds. Though it
adds $1,900 to the cost of a standard vehicle, the 800 series
engine with electronic fuel injection, is simply a “must have”
item for some people.
“The standard 700 carbureted engine has always delivered the
kind of power that’s adequate for nearly all rugged terrain
operations,” said Ridge Runner President Dan Denney. “In the
back country there is simply nothing that will keep up with it.
The clearance, suspension and power combination make it
unbeatable.”
Ridge Runners have 18” of ground clearance and 13.5” of
suspension travel, more than any ATV, Quad, Hummer or Jeep. This
allows them to tackle boulders or logs that would flip an ATV or
cause a jeep to hang up. They have four wheel independent
suspension, with Fox Racing air shocks, allowing them to
traverse rough terrain with minimal displacement of the frame.
This assures swift, comfortable passage over rocky roads or
log-strewn trails that could only be dreamed about with
traditional ATVs.
The steel tube frame provides a strong, protective
environment around the driver and passenger. There are no
plastic body parts that will need replacing.
The engineers at Ridge Runner have designed in a number of
safety features that do not distract from the thrills and
excitement of running with the wind. There are two, side-by-side
seats, allowing adults to legally bring one of their kids along.
Spouses, who might hesitate to get on an ATV, prefer riding in
the Ridge Runner’s protected passenger seat rather than
wrestling with an ATV handlebar. Dual seatbelts with double
shoulder harnesses, along with roll bars, reduce the risk of
injury. The car’s lower center of gravity and longer/wider wheel
base significantly limits the risk of rollover.
A Ridge Runner can be transported in the back of a standard
pickup or on a trailer. They are ideal for Appalachian trails,
Forest Service roads in Main, roads across Baja, on sand dunes
or beaches anywhere. Depending on the choice of engines, Ridge
Runners sell for $16,950, $17,952 and $18,908.
