Polaris Announces ATV and Utility Division
Promotions
Matt Homan and Jeff LeFever Promoted
MEDINA, MINN-- (March 1, 2006) Bennett
Morgan, president and chief operating officer of
Polaris Industries Inc. (NYSE/PSE: PII) today
announced the promotion of Matt Homan to general
manager, Utility Division. Jeff LeFever will
assume Homan’s role by expanding his
responsibilities as the marketing manager of the
ATV marketing organization.
Homan joined Polaris in 2002 as the marketing
manager for the ATV Division. Based on his
strong business acumen and overall marketing
abilities, he was promoted to the director of
Marketing in ATV in October of 2004. In his
positions, he has demonstrated the ability to
learn quickly, adapt to an ever-changing
external landscape, gain a solid understanding
of the vehicle business and show strong
leadership.
Prior to joining Polaris, Homan worked at
General Mills for seven years in various
Marketing and Marketing management positions.
Homan has both his undergraduate and MBA from
the Carlson School of Management in Minneapolis.
He replaces Tim DeJong who retired on March 1.
LeFever joined Polaris in 2004 as the
marketing manager for ATV, reporting to Homan.
He has been a key contributor to the success of
ATV division for the past year and a half by
developing strategic plans to drive ATV retail
and managing the day-to-day relationships with
the company’s vendors.
Prior to joining Polaris, LeFever started his
career in Operations and Finance before
returning to school for his MBA. Since
completing his MBA, he has gained extensive
experience in marketing management by leading
marketing and product teams in positions with
General Mills, ConAgra Foods and Toro. LeFever
holds an MBA from Darden Graduate School of
Business at the University of Virginia and has
an undergrad in Business from Goshen College in
Indiana.
