ARS-FX RELEASE X1 SHOCK ABSORBER

Logan, UT – ARS-FX, manufacturer of premium suspension products for ATV’s and Snowmobiles has developed and released the X1 shock absorber. The X1 is the first of a series of new performance shock absorbers that ARS-FX will be bringing to the market in the next few months. Heading up the team behind the design and development of the ARS-FX shocks, is renowned ATV suspension expert Michael Hallock.

The new X1 shock will be used on both snowmobiles and ATV’s and will be available in either piggyback or remote reservoir configurations. Front shocks will utilize a triple spring configuration, all of which are made of high tensile quality wire. Triple spring combinations have the flexibility to obtain a variety of spring progression curves, allowing the shocks be tuned for a wide range of applications and terrain. Triple spring combinations are also flexible in that they can be easily tuned by changing the springs and crossovers, which are easily removed, via a circlip style spring retainer. Once the desired spring curve is established, for any given application, the shocks can then be further “dialed in”, using the external dampening adjusters.

Almost every component on the X1 shock is custom machined from either billet aluminum or stainless steel, to very tight tolerances, giving the X1 very consistent settings. All aluminum components are then anodized to prevent oxidation and oil contamination. All ARS-FX shocks, beginning with the X1, have been designed for increased hydraulic flow, producing smooth and consistent dampening throughout the entire shock stroke, even at high shaft speeds. Also unique to ARS-FX dampers, is their own, specially formulated, suspension fluid. Standard fluid in all X1 and future ARS-FX shock absorbers.

The X1 shock absorbers can be used either with or without ARS-FX a-arms, dramatically enhancing the performance of either the stock suspension or long travel ARS-FX components. Each shock is then custom built for the given application, taking in account rider weight, and riding style. “The release of the X1 shock is a big step forward for ARS-FX because it is allows us to offer complete suspension kits, that include both a-arms and a shock absorbers. Unlike most companies on the market, who either produce a-arms or shocks, ARS-FX kits are designed to work together.
