BRP Launches Full Line
of Can-Am Technical Riding Gear
Often, OEM clothing offerings are little more
than run-of-the-mill gear with corporate logos.
BRP
takes a different approach with its Ski-Doo®
snowmobile gear, Sea-Doo® boating gear,
specifically designing its clothing to enhance
the experience of its vehicles.
And now it’s doing the same with its 2008 line
of Can-Am® riding gear. The line, which includes
technical riding items, protective gear
[including helmets] and casual wear, will be
available in
Can-Am dealerships in September 2007.
Like Can-Am ATVs, the 2008 Can-Am riding gear is
aimed at enthusiasts who insist on high
performance and high tech.
Take the new over-the-boot X-Team Cross Pants,
specifically designed
for performance ATV riding. The mesh-lined,
water-resistant fabric is
some of the most breathable in the industry,
keeping the rider dry inside
and out. A molded rubber kneecap and perforated
leather reinforcement
are specifically positioned on each leg matching
the ergonomics of the
new DS™ 450 sport quad. Reflecting the realities
of ATV riding, the
stretch crotch panel is waterproof, unlike
generic motocross pants. The
entire pant is incredibly light, weighing less
than two pounds [.9 kg].
There’s even innovation in the new X-Team Hybrid
gloves. Seams
around the fingers are inverted, giving them a
seamless feel, increasing
handlebar feedback. The Can-Am logo on each
index finger even adds
grip!
“Our consumers want our gear to be the best in
the sport,” said Stéphane De Luca, Sales and
Communication manager, Parts, Accessories and
Clothing, BRP. “We’ll get there the same way
Can-Am ATVs are getting there – by combining the
latest technology with great design and
input and feedback from ATV enthusiasts.”
See a Can-Am ATV dealer for more information, or
