Willpower ATV Parade rolls out Feb 10 in
Quartzsite
The Willpower Incorporated 3rd annual ATV &
Off-Road Vehicle Parade and Poker Run is
Sunday, February 10 at 10 a.m. in Quartzsite,
Arizona. Line up at 8 a.m. at the Fire Station
on Tyson Street at Highway 95. Souvenir hats and
T-shirts will be available.
Come early and enjoy a fire department
fund-raiser pancake breakfast at 7 a.m.
ATVers of all ages are invited. Entry fee is
$10 per vehicle. There will be contests for best
poker hand, most original ATV rider and
best-dressed pet. Let your imagination soar
local businesses and restaurants donated
wonderful prizes!
The parade ends at Quartzsite Town Park dance
slab, where there will be prizes and raffles.
The Quartzsite Rotary Club will sell lunch,
sodas and water.
Bureau of Land Management Outdoor Recreation
Planner Aaron Curtis will give a presentation on
off-road trails and safety at 11 a.m. at the
park.
NOTE for unlicensed ATVS: This is a one-day
ATV OK day in Quartzsite the Quartzsite
Police Department will NOT issue citations for
unlicensed ATV parade participants February 10,
2008.
The parade is a fund-raiser for Willpower
Incorporated, a non-profit organization created
to support culture; and prevention of cruelty to
children and animals. Projects include the
Quartzsite Activities Center (QAC) and Paw Power
animal sanctuary.
