EnerSys to Expand Warrensburg, Mo. Plant to Meet
Customer Demand
READING, Pa., (February
12, 2008) – EnerSys (NYSE: ENS), the
world's largest
manufacturer, marketer, and distributor of
industrial batteries, recently
announced it will expand its manufacturing
facility in Warrensburg, Mo. The
plant manufactures EnerSys’ proprietary line of
premium thin plate pure lead
(TPPL) technology products including Armasafe
Plus®, Genesis®, Hawker®,
ODYSSEY® and Powersafe®. This plant
expansion will increase its manufacturing
capacity by 50 percent which is necessitated by
the growing demand from
premium automotive, telecommunications,
aerospace and defense, and other
industrial users where increased power and
reliability are required.

interruptions. This plant
expansion will allow EnerSys to support our
customers by providing product
support, customer service and dependable power”
The plant expansion will take place over a
two-year period, increasing the
plant’s square footage from 365,000 to 500,000.
It also will create about 180
jobs in the local Warrensburg area.
