Black Hills Trail Clean-up
Who/What: The
Off-Road Riders Association with the support of
Legend Off-Road Air Suspensions will be
performing trail maintenance on the Centennial
Trail in the Black Hills. This project is
under the direction of the U.S. Forest Service,
and will repair damage to the trail resulting
from the recent heavy rains. The Black
Hills National Forest is providing materials and
direction, the Off-Road Riders Association is
providing manpower and equipment, and Legend Air
Suspensions is providing specially-equipped
Yamaha Rhino UTVs with increased payload to haul
the material to the remote location.
When/Where:
The project will begin at the Centennial
Trailhead near Nemo, SD on Saturday, July 12 at
8a.m.
Directions: From
the east on I-90: Take Rapid City Deadwood Ave
exit 55 south to a right turn onto West Omaha
which becomes West Chicago which becomes West
Main which becomes South Canyon which becomes
Nemo Road. Travel Nemo Road for approximately 30
minutes (16 miles) to the Nemo Guest Ranch.
Turn left and drive ½ mile to the
trailhead.
From the west on I-90: Take Sturgis exit 32.
Take Vanocker Canyon Road 16 miles south until
it T’s into Nemo Road. Turn left for 1/4 mile to
the Nemo Guest Ranch. Turn right and drive
½ mile to the trailhead. Photos/Video
