ATVA ANNOUNCES 2002 SHORT-TRACK RACING SERIES
PICKERINGTON, OHIO -- The All-Terrain Vehicle
Association (ATVA) has announced the schedule for its 2002
ATVA Short Track National Series:
- July 12 at Dixieland Speedway in Elizabeth City,
North Carolina;
- August 9 at Blue Grass Speedway in Bardstown,
Kentucky; and
- August 23 at Auto Parts Speedway in Benton,
Missouri.
The brand-new series will feature ten classes,
including five Open classes and two Youth classes, and is
open to pro, pro-am, and amateur competitors.
“ATV racers have been asking us to put together a
top-notch short-track series, and we’re pleased to
announce this three-round inaugural season,” said Doug
Morris, the ATVA’s Director.
The ATVA Short Track National Series joins the AMA
Maxxis Grand National MX & TT Series and the AMA Grand
National Cross Country Series on the ATVA’s 2002 racing
calendar.
