Remember September is Finally here! Rounds 1 and 2 of the
Potawatomi Poker Run take place this Friday night in Crandon and
Sunday at Pine Ridge Raceway. Look for more than $8000.00 in
prize money to be awarded to racers over this Labor Day weekend.
Here is a couple of updates and clarifications on the poker run:
- Each rider that attends each race of the series gets one
poker hand, regardless of the number of classes he/she
races. A rider may ride one class at Crandon, ex 250B,
another at Pine Ridge, ex Masters and yet a third at
Denmark, ex Vet and still receive a poker hand. This is
being done because not all normal D16 classes are being run
in Crandon. It is a riders participation at each event that
counts, not the class he/she rides in.
- With that said we will add a Vet class to Friday night
in Crandon, if there is less than 10 riders signed up for
the class, they will have to ride a CC/skill class instead.
The only reason there was not originally a masters or vet
class is because those classes have been of the least
attended at the NCM and Gravity Park Friday night series
events so far this year. We will give you vet riders a
chance call your buddies NOW and let them know we need ten
of you to make the class this Friday night.
- Directions from Crandon to Pine Ridge are as follows.
Hwy 8 to Hwy 32 South to Cty Road C (pick this up in Wabeno).
Cty C only goes to the East and will take you all the way to
Pine Ridge. Approximate travel time is 40-45 minutes.
- Pit parking at Crandon there is Truck qualifying in
the afternoon at Crandon but track officials have instructed
us that we can park further down the start chute as long as
your vehicles are tight up against the fence that separates
the truck pits from the starting chute. Fantasy Moto will
have someone point you in the right direction when you get
there. Once truck qualifying is complete (approximately
4-4:30) we will be allowed to park all the way down the
start chute, in any area.
- Camping and truck racing there have been 15-20 camping
spots reserved for MXers wishing to stay the weekend for the
truck racing additional camping and admission fees do
apply. Ask at the main gate when you get there for details
on where these spots are located.
- Directions to Crandon: Hwy 32 North to Hwy 8 East to the
track its that simple but I managed to put the incorrect
directions down on the sanction paperwork last November.
It looks like mother-nature is going to cooperate. Race day
hotline will simply be a recording no one will be answering
the phone. 920-378-3865.
Have a great day and hope to see a lot of you this weekend in
Crandon and Pine Ridge.
