For Immediate Release Powersports Show
announced in conjunction with AMA National Ice Racing
Championships
Menasha, WI – Fantasy Moto has announced a Powersports Show
that will run in conjunction with the AMA National Ice Racing
Championships, January 13-15, 2006. The idea behind the
Powersports Show is to make the National Championships an
“event,” not just a race.
Waverly Beach is a mecca of activity in the winter months and
the on-shore facilities are second to none. The small sports
arena less than 100 feet from the shore provides a lot of
opportunities. The Powersports Show will be located indoors at
Waverly Beach, making this Fantasy Moto event a multifaceted
activity for all race enthusiasts. The Powersports Show will
feature apparel, accessories, new and used units, snowmobiles,
ATVs and motorcycles for both street and dirt. Capital Credit
Union has signed on as the presenting sponsor and will be
providing on-site financing approval for dealers and show
attendees. With 93.5 WOZZ Classic Rock Station as the title
media sponsor, it is going to be hard for this “EVENT” to be
anything but successful.
One ticket does it all - $10 per day allows racers,
spectators, fans and show attendees to roam freely between the
Powersports Show and the actual races. Bleachers for nearly
1,000 people will be available on the shoreline for spectator
viewing and as many as three ˝-mile tracks are being prepared
for the races. “We plan to plow two tracks for sure, one for
each day of racing, and a third if we have the resources, to
handle the optional practice day on Friday,” comments
co-promoter Willie Harrison of Harrison Promotions. “This event
needs to be made into a spectacle, we want to make the drive for
the large contingent of racers from Michigan and New York well
worth the trip, I think we are on the right track.” Harrison
ads, “Both major ice racing circuits in Wisconsin, the CWIRA and
SWIRA have been a great help by scheduling the weekend off to
make the Nationals a HUGE success. It also helps that the large
contingent of racers from other states will receive district
points for their series by attending the Nationals.”
The Powersports Show is just one of the exciting additions to
the National Ice Racing Championships. Fantasy Moto is also
extremely happy to welcome Nissan as the presenting sponsor of
the race. Van Dyn Hoven Nissan will be the official vehicle of
the 2006 AMA National Ice Racing Championships.
Trophies will be provided for each class at the Nationals,
compliments of Action Awards. “We look forward to showcasing our
work for the Nationals and promise racers these trophies will be
the biggest ones in their trophy cases,” claims Steve Juno of
Action Awards. “We are known for our 75” tall championship
trophies, this is going to be fun!”
Racers registering via the on-line registration form
available at www.fantasymoto.com will receive a rider care
package valued at $35. The care package includes an event
T-shirt, industry certificates, local business coupons and
stickers. On-line pre-registration will be available the Friday
after Thanksgiving, November 25th. Care packs are limited and
will only be available to racers pre-registering on-line.
