Bigger $130,000 Purse for 2006 Suzuki GNCC

$10,000 per event up for grabs in 2006
Morgantown, WV – Racer Productions, the producer of the
Suzuki Grand National Cross Country Series, will increase the
2006 payout for the top pro and pro am Bike and ATV racers in
the Suzuki Grand National Cross Country Series. A $10,000 GNCC
Pro and Pro Am Purse will be up for grabs at each of the 13 GNCC
events, totaling $130,000 in purse money for the 2006 season.
The larger purse guarantees money back to 10th place in the GNCC
Bike and ATV pro classes, whereas the purse payback was
previously based on the number of pro entries. Also, the top
five ATV Pro-Am racers are guaranteed money.

The AMA-sanctioned Suzuki Grand National Cross Country series is
America’s premier off-road racing series. The 13-round series is
produced exclusively by Racer Productions. Cross-country racing
is one of the most physically demanding sports in the world. The
nearly three-hour long GNCC races lead as many as 1800 riders
through tracks ranging from eight to twelve miles in length.
With varied terrain including hills, mud, dirt, rocks and
motocross sections, GNCC events are tests of both survival and
speed. GNCC featured sponsors include Parts Unlimited, Moose,
Maxxis, Pirelli, Wiseco, Klotz, FMF and ITP, and riders compete
for over $2.8 million in series prizes and contingency money.
