NASMOTO (North American Supermoto) Announces New ATV Classes For Select Supermoto Events

NASMOTONASMOTO is pleased to announce it’s 2006 regional championship qualifier schedule. Races will be held all across North America starting Saturday and Sunday March 4th and 5th in Florida. Then culminating in at the NASMOTO AMA Supermoto Grand Championship, Sunday November 5th 2006. The Grand Championship race will be hosted in conjunction with the AMA Pro Racing event in Long Beach California at the historic ship, The Queen Mary.

The top ten amateur riders from each regional race will earn a spot in the NAMSOTO AMA Grand Championship. “We are pleased to be working with AMA Pro Racing though out the year building amateur racing through the local clubs and promoters all the way to the Queen Mary,” says VP Ted Baker.

Championship classes have been streamlined to 3 SMX pro classes and 7 amateur classes. The growing interest in ATV racing has added Pro ATV Supermoto and Amateur ATV Supermoto to be held at select events.

New supermoto clubs are opening up everywhere as the sport grows in the amateur ranks. New promoters are encouraged to contact the AMA or NASMOTO for info on rules, classes, and regional and national point standings.
