Yoshimura Expands Support
Chino, CA - May 3, 2006 - Yoshimura R&D of
America has been busy these last few weeks. In
addition to winning the last two GNC National
races in a row with Team Suzuki/Yoshimura rider
Jeremiah Jones, Yoshimura has been adding some
new talent to the Pro Support team. Jason
Luburgh and Dana Creech are now sporting the
Yoshimura colors made famous by over 50 years of
racing. Yoshimura will be supplying pipes,
building race engines, and providing technical
help.
Yoshimura Vice President, Brant Russell had
this to say, "We are really excited in adding
both Jason and Dana to the Yoshimura family.
Both of these riders are not only blazing fast,
but really nice guys. Also, Wayne Hinson and I
like hanging out with Jason's Dad, he's really
cool."
Russell also was impressed by these riders
skills, "Both riders have tremendous talent. In
Jason's case, last week's first moto showed his
potential when he carded his first win on a quad
he borrowed from his sister! Both of these
riders will be platforms for us to showcase our
engine building and exhaust capabilities. A lot
of riders out there don't know that we offer
Suzuki LT-Z400 and LT-R450 engine building
services to the public. I'm hoping that with the
help of these two guys, that will change."
Luburgh, 23 is from Zanesville, Ohio and has
been in the Pro Class since 2001. "I couldn't be
more pleased with this new relationship with
Yoshimura and I'm really excited about the
bike."
Both Luburgh and Creech will be campaigning
the revolutionary new Suzuki LT-R450 QuadRacer.
The machine that Jeremiah Jones was quoted as
saying last week as "The best quad I've ever
ridden."
Yoshimura Team manager Wayne Hinson works
closely with Creech, and recently has been doing
a lot of testing with the likeable rider. "Dana
is a really good test rider," says Hinson, "In
addition to being one of the best riders in the
world from a racing perspective, he also gives
us great development skills out on the west
coast. He's one of the most professional riders
out there and I couldn't be happier that
Yoshimura added him to their support program.
He's been part of the Hinson Clutch support team
for a long time."
Creech was also thrilled. The 24 year old
rider is from Eureka, CA and has been racing
quads since he was three. "I'm really excited to
be working with Yoshimura. They are really on
the top of the game right now and I'm happy to
be a part of their racing efforts."
So far the 2006 racing season has been good
for Yoshimura. Although not leading the points
in GNC, recent race wins have been gratifying.
Yoshimura ATV guru Russell is really happy with
the season so far, "Yoshimura has been really
fortunate this year with our support program,"
Russell said. "Russell Shoemaker, John Ragon,
and others have been putting in some great
results in the amateur ranks, and now with the
addition of Jason and Dana, things are just
getting better all the time."
