ATV Motocross Racing
Invades Muddy Creek Raceway this Memorial Day
Weekend.
Round eight of the ATVA/ITP/Moose ATV
Motocross Nationals visits Tennessee on May 28.
Top pros and amateurs will compete.
After an exciting round of racing at Red Bud
in Michigan where John Natalie Jr earned his
second overall win of the season and moved
within four points of Joe Byrd in Pro Points
Lead, the ATVA Motocross National Series heads
south to Muddy Creek Raceway in Blountville, TN
on May 26-28th. Unlike rainy and muddy
conditions found at Red Bud, the weather is
looking picture perfect for this Memorial Day
weekend of racing at Muddy Creek.
The Muddy Creek Raceway has been recognized
as one of the top three tracks in the nation by
Motocross Action Magazine. This event is one of
the most anticipated rounds of the series thanks
to hill-top spectator areas which provide a
bird's eye view of all the racing action. Race
promoter Victory Sports has reversed the
direction of the track for 2006 along with
making other numerous changes to the track
layout.
To kick off the weekend’s festivities, Team
Suzuki / Yoshimura’s Doug Gust & Jeremiah Jones
will be signing autographs on Thursday May 25th
(3:00 to 5:00pm) during Atlas Cycle Suzuki’s
Open House in Bristol, VA. Also, there will be
free food and a new SUZUKI Z-250 is going to be
given away to one lucky visitor. Atlas Cycle is
just 17 miles from the track and is located
right off I-81 at exit # 5 in Virginia.
Local riders are invited to race in one of
the 31 classes available for riders of all skill
and experience levels. Riders can sign up at the
track. Practice begins on Friday with amateur
racing action on Saturday and Sunday. Pro riders
practice on Saturday and race twice on Sunday,
at 12 pm and 3 pm.
Spectators are welcome Friday through Sunday,
but if you can’t make it for the entire weekend,
be sure to attend Sunday to witness some
exhilarating Pro racing action and amateur
finals which will provide an action packed day
for the entire family for only $15.00 per adult
and children under six are free.
To get to the track, take I-81 to Exit #63
and follow the signs to the track. For more

The ITP/Moose ATVA National Motocross
Championships, presented by Parts Unlimited, is
the nation’s premiere ATV motocross racing
series. The 14-round series is produced by
members of the ATVA Promoters’ Group, LLC (“ATVAPG”)
and is sanctioned by the 9,000 member ATV
Association (“ATVA”), the sister organization to
the 260,000 member American Motorcyclist
Association (“AMA”). ATV racing has experienced
phenomenal growth at the rate of 25% in the past
two years alone, and continues to gain momentum
and support, as ATV outsell off-road motorcycles
annually 3 to 1. Each round attracts 600-1000
racers who vie for bragging rights to one of 31
national titles. ATVA National Motocross feature
sponsors include FMF, Scott, Maxxis, Custom
Axis, Hbomb/Division Four, ATV Sport Magazine,
and Moto-Tees. Associate sponsors include
Weekend Warrior, Houser Racing, Denton Racing,
Outerwears, Hinson Racing, FOX Shox,
