Fourth-Annual GNCC Golf Tournament June 23 at the Wisp
Sponsorship and playing opportunities available

GNCC RacingDeep Creek, MD – Once again it's time to go GNCC Golfing before you go GNCC Racing! The fourth-annual GNCC Golf Tournament at the Wisp tees off Friday, June 23rd, at 2 p.m., the day before the Parts Unlimited Wisp GNCC kicks off with ATV racing on Saturday and bike racing on Sunday.

There's no better chance to rub elbows with the GNCC stars—and your friends—than with a day off the track and on the links with the GNCC family. The game will be competitive, but the players surely aren't as good on the golf course as they are on the race course! So don't worry about the spikes or the right set of clubs. Just join the club by coming out and playing.

The game takes place at Wisp’s beautiful 18-hole, par 72 course. The nearly 100 acre course challenges players of all skill levels with tree-lined fairways, strategically placed bunkers, water hazards, and tournament-caliber greens. Washington Golf Monthly recently named it one of the "100 Must Play Courses of the Mid-Atlantic.” Find more info at Wisp's website www.golfwisp.com.

As always, the GNCC Golf tournament is open to anyone and everyone, and the game is played with teams of four in a best-ball, scramble format. Golf costs $50 for each team member, and the price includes dinner at the Wisp after the game. All signup will be conducted at the Wisp starting at noon Friday. Teams can be selected or will be assigned randomly. And the winning team will have its name engraved on the GNCC Golf Trophy, which is on display in the lobby of the Racer Productions offices.

The off-road racing industry is encouraged to sponsor a hole on the course for $250. Each sponsor will receive dinner, and is encouraged to display banners or product at their hole. The event is expected to garner media coverage in industry publications, as well as on the Suzuki GNCC TV Series on Outdoor Life Network. So be ready to take advantage!

The AMA-sanctioned Suzuki Grand National Cross Country series is America’s premier off-road racing series. The 13-round series is produced exclusively by Racer Productions. Cross-country racing is one of the most physically demanding sports in the world. The nearly three-hour long GNCC races lead as many as 1800 riders through tracks ranging from eight to twelve miles in length. With varied terrain including hills, woods, mud, dirt, rocks and motocross sections, GNCC events are tests of both survival and speed. GNCC featured sponsors include Parts Unlimited, Moose, Maxxis, Pirelli, Wiseco, Klotz, FMF, ITP and Tire Balls, and riders compete for over $3 million in series prizes and contingency money. Associate sponsors include Moose Utility Division, Scott, Acerbis, Alpinestars, Cometic, Outerwears, Twin Air, Polisport Plastics, Thor, Motion Pro, Hyper Wheels, Elka Suspension, MotoTee’s, Weekend Warrior, Owens Motorsports, Tom’s Marina Polaris, EK Chain and Laeger’s. Media Sponsors include Dirt Rider Magazine, ATV Sport Magazine, www.ATVRiders.com and Racer X Illustrated. For more information log on to www.GNCCRacing.com.
