THUNDER IN THE VALLEY
SO CAL QUAD SERIES @ RACETOWN 395 - ROUND
3
THUNDER IN THE VALLEY quad racing series is
the most intense quad racing in the so cal area
with Race town 395 hosting round 3. Scott Haydis
had the crew groom the track to a tee. Not even a
grain of sand was out of place and the gates dropped
like a sharp edge guillotine. Wasting
little time for the
next mullet to lob off with no regreat and no
remorse, because @ 395, when the gates drop the B.S stops.
With rounds one and
two in the history books,
some riders were thinking this is the round to
take care of biz and let there actions speak
louder than there words and others were thinking
lets just keep together and get out of here in
one piece.
450 PRO
Dustin Nelson is taking control of all the
West Coast quad racing and putting his SRF
Yamaha 450 on the top podium spot in round 3 taking
both motos and extending his points lead in the
series over hard charging Dustin Terry that is
trying to keep the points chase close, hopefully within
striking distance. TERRY ripped around the
corners and wound up 2nd with Darrell Patton
coming back from a injury looking in top form and
holding the last podium spot for the day.
450 PRO AM
This class has the most equal talent of any
class ran in the Thunder in the Valley series.
Sometimes it's the one that is the most
consistent thru out the series that wins.
This time that consistency went to Justin Noss.
Noss is letting everybody
know that he is a contender not a pretender and
stole the top podium spot in round 3. Dennis Capogni
riding with talent and flare held off a hard
charging Dean Pierce, who was coming strong to
take 3rd away from Noss.
450 A class
The A class is all wide open, and wide open
it is with first timer, Clayton Endes.
Clayton Endes, came in with serious heat and
swiped the class taking 1st for the day. But, Ed
Decosta is running for the title and took 2nd for the day,
which helped keep his points lead intact.
Jeremy Headlee hung on to finish 3rd.
450 B class
As
the gate dropped for the B class, with every
gate full, the roar of the 450s heading into the
first turn was mind thumping and heart pumping. Angle
Gonzales was out front as they hit the first
turn and with that, never looked back. Like a pro on a mission, and taking no
prisoners, the top podium spot was his.
The real race was from 2nd on back. Adrienne Cooper,
taking a break from the
nationals, wound up with a second and points
leader William Lone hung on to 3rd.
450 C class
450 C class has excellent quad racing and
usually is the biggest class of the day, this
round was no different. They had to run a qualifer and then
a main with a fullline of ATVs. Keely Woosley
ran her ALBA mounted Yamaha to the top spot, and
taking hold of the points lead at the same time.
With KAL-GARD mounted Dylan Belto, held on for
2nd to keep within striking distance for the
points lead, while SRF Christy Misss McGuffin
came in third.
