Outlaw Flexes Its Muscle at
Endurance Events
With its successes in the Stock classes in
GNCC and WORCS, the Outlaw has already proven to
be a competitive machine right out of the box.
With its recent performances in endurance
events, Outlaw has further proven its trail
toughness.
CJ Spindler, a racer and employee at Polaris
Dealership Airtec Sports in Menomonie, Wis., had
an impressive showing at Round 2 of the Maxxis 6
Hours of ATV America race in Arkansaw, Wis.
Using a stock Outlaw, Spindler finished first in
the A Class and third overall, beating all but
two of the Pro Class teams.
Unlike the Pro teams which consisted of three
riders with fully modified sport quads, Spindler
had a stock quad, two-rider team and did the
majority of the 30 laps himself. Spindler
contributes his team’s success to the Outlaw’s
independent rear suspension and ground
clearance, which didn’t get hung up like many of
the competitive machines, which made the team
able to ride faster in the straightaway
sections.
Across the Atlantic, the Outlaw was blazing
the endurance trail at the Orpi Morocco Rally in
North Africa. Team Quad Plus/Agrivision entered
four Outlaws in the 20 hour-plus event and took
three of the top five positions; second, fourth
and fifth. The Orpi Morocco Rally is a test of
endurance that pushes the rider and machine to
the limits with extremely rough and difficult
terrain. The Outlaw’s performance demonstrated
the quad’s potential to win at the highest
levels.
“The Outlaw’s recent success both on the
cross country courses and endurance trails
proves the benefit of independent rear
suspension,” said Gary Laskin, product manager
for Sport, Youth and International ATVs for
Polaris. “IRS gives riders the advantage to
navigate through rocky terrain instead of around
it, saving time, and reduces rider fatigue for
the long haul.”
