ATVA Motocross Nationals Heads North to Unadilla Motorsports
Round twelve of the ATVA/ITP/Moose ATV Motocross Nationals visits New York on July 30th
Top pros and amateurs will compete.

GNC

New Berlin, NY – The Unadilla Motorsports complex will roar to life again this weekend with round twelve of the ATVA Motocross Nationals. Just two weeks ago, the grass motocross track was shredded by Suzuki’s AMA Motocross Champion Rick Carmichael winning both Motos as he chases after yet another Pro MX Championship, and on Sunday, July 30th, Suzuki / Yoshimura’s Jeremiah Jones & Doug Gust will attempt to reel in Honda’s Joe Byrd currently holding the points lead as the race to the ATV Motocross Championship intensifies with only three races remaining to crown the 2006 Pro Champion.

Unadilla Motorsports serves as round twelve of the 14-stop ATVA-sanctioned Moose/ITP National Motocross Series – the largest ATV motocross series in the world. The fastest pro racers riding on four-wheels will compete along with amateurs of all ages in 31 different classes. Racing takes place on one of the most famous natural terrain motocross track, which has garnered national recognition for its action packed mix of hills, jumps, off-chamber turns, and high-speed straight-aways.

Until 2005, the Unadilla Motocross track was reserved only for the AMA Outdoor Nationals, but it all changed last year when Unadilla welcomed the ATVA Motocross Nationals, which received an impressive nearly 750 entries, and a new chapter in the history books was created for ATV racing with Jeremiah Jones claiming the first overall Pro win in a dramatic race to the finish. With the 2006 championship on the line, the stage is set for yet another exciting weekend of racing.

Riders will practice on Friday, July 28, and amateurs will race on Saturday and Sunday, July 29-30. The pro racers practice on Saturday. Pro racing begins at noon on Sunday, July 30th.

Spectator passes for adults run $35 for Friday through Sunday, $30 for Saturday through Sunday, and $15 for Sunday only. Local riders are invited to race the event, as the ATV Nationals offer classes for riders of all skill and experience levels. Riders can sign up at the track. The amateur racer entry fee is $40.
