Motocross National Champ to
be Decided at September 2-3 Battle
With
the points battle tight, the ATVA ITP/Moose
National Motocross Championship Series champ
will be decided at Ballance Moto X in Bowling
Green, Kentucky, September 2-3.
This will be a winner-take-all event, with Joe
Byrd (#7) of Union City, Tennessee, currently
leading the Pro class by a slim 15 points over
team Suzuki rider Doug Gust (#55) of Salem,
Wisconsin .
Bowling Green is home to several ATV champions
in GNCC and MX. Yamaha will be on had with their
semi to display Yamaha ATVs. Yamaha will also
host a free dinner on Friday night.
Gates open at 4 p.m. on Thursday, August 31.
Camping is free, and there is plenty of parking.
There are also showers.
Practice is set for 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday,
September 1. Saturday, September 2, practice
begins at 8 a.m. with racing starting as soon as
practice is over. All classes will race their
first, or qualifying, motos and last-chance
qualifiers on Saturday, except the Pros.
Practice begins at 8 a.m. on Sunday, September
2, and all classes will race their final motos.
Pro riders will race there first moto at noon.
The Pro final will be held at 3 p.m.
