Pro National Championship Comes Down to the
Final Round at Ballance Moto X
Round fourteen of the ATVA/ITP/Moose ATV
Motocross Nationals visit Kentucky on September
2 & 3
Top pros and amateurs will compete.

Bowling Green, KY – The journey started on
February 5th in San Bernardino, CA and has
tracked the United States. West to East, South
to North the riders have traveled thousands of
miles with dreams and aspirations of being
crowned the ATVA 2006 National Motocross
Champion, and for many it comes down to the
final round of the racing at the Ballance Moto X
in Bowling Green, KY on September 2 & 3rd to
determine National Champion.
The most coveted titles of them of all is
still up for grabs, ATVA Pro Motocross Nationals
Title, and Team Honda’s Joe Byrd, of Tennessee,
holds a slim points lead over Yoshimura/Suzuki
Doug Gust, from Wisconsin, competing on the
all-new Suzuki LTR450. For the first time in
years, the Pro Championship will come down to
the Final Pro Moto on Sunday, September 3rd, and
it will surely be one of the most exciting races
of the year with these highly talented and
competitive racers going after the number one
plate.
The Ballance Moto X track will serve as the
perfect platform to crown the National Champions
since this will be the first time ever an ATVA
Motocross National will be held at this brand
new facility, which is the master mind of the
Ballance racing family. Legendary GNCC racer,
Bill Ballance, played an integral role in
designing this custom-built track, which is
anticipated to be one of the most technical
tracks of the year with an action packed mixture
of jumps, whoops, and high-speed straight-aways.
This weekend’s festivities will kick off on
Thursday, August 31st, at Mike's Cycle World
just two miles from the track in Bowling Green,
KY with Doug Gust signing autographs from 4-6PM.

Riders will practice on Friday, September 1,
and amateurs will race on Saturday and Sunday,
September 2-3. The pro racers practice on
Saturday. Pro racing begins at noon on Sunday,
September 3rd.
Local riders are invited to race in one of
the 31 classes available for riders of all skill
and experience levels. Riders can sign up at the
track.
Spectators are welcome Friday through Sunday,
but if you can’t make it for the entire weekend,
be sure to attend Sunday to witness some
exhilarating Pro racing action and amateur
finals which will provide an action packed day
for the entire family for only $15.00 per adult
and children under six are free.
To get to the track, take I-65 to exit 28
"Corvette museum exit". Take 31 west
approximately 9 miles to the track on the left.
Be looking for Ballance County Hams the road to
the track is just prior to the entrance to that
business.
The ITP/Moose ATVA National Motocross
Championships, presented by Parts Unlimited, is
the nation’s premiere ATV motocross racing
series. The 14-round series is produced by
members of the ATVA Promoters’ Group, LLC (“ATVAPG”)
and is sanctioned by the 9,000 member ATV
Association (“ATVA”), the sister organization to
the 260,000 member American Motorcyclist
Association (“AMA”). ATV racing has experienced
phenomenal growth at the rate of 25% in the past
two years alone, and continues to gain momentum
and support, as ATV outsell off-road motorcycles
annually 3 to 1. Each round attracts 600-1000
racers who vie for bragging rights to one of 31
national titles. ATVA National Motocross feature
