Yoshimura announces 2007
WPSA ATV Contingency Program
Chino,
CA – September 20, 2006 – Yoshimura R&D of
America is pleased to announce two new
contingency programs for ATV riders competing in
the WPSA Powersports Series. Yoshimura will be
offering a cash contingency program for pros and
a product contingency program for amateurs.
Amateur riders who race with Yoshimura exhaust
products will be eligible to receive "Yoshi-Bucks"
that can be redeemed for Yoshimura products and
services. Racers will be able to keep track of
their own rewards on Yoshimura's VPM "Virtual
Project Manager" web based management site.
"This is a great way to give a little back to
the people who buy our products." Yoshimura
Sales V.P. Brant Russell said. "A lot of racers
are using our pipes and engines in the WPSA
series. We want to reward their confidence in us
and let them know we appreciate their business."
To participate in the Yoshi-Bucks Program,
Yoshimura equipped riders must send all contact
information to the registrar at registration@yoshimura-rd.com.
Complete details on the Yoshimura WPSA
Contingency Program can be found in the
Racing/ATV section on the Yoshimura website -
www.yoshimura-rd.com.
2006 was a great year for Yoshimura in the
WPSA Tour. Team Yoshimura Suzuki rider Doug Gust
won the WPSA SuperQuad Pro 450 Class
Championship and Yoshimura support rider Russell
Shumaker scored the A-Class Championship as well
as WPSA Amateur Athlete of the Year. These
racers, among others, were responsible for
Suzuki receiving the Manufacturers' Championship
award.
Yoshimura is also now accepting resumes for
2007 WPSA support rides. To apply for a
sponsorship, send your resume through
sponsorhouse.com ("Yoshimura.") Yoshimura racing
support director Richard Bassinger will be
reviewing applications and making final
decisions before the start of the racing season.
