 The
31st Annual World Championship ICE Racing Series
Opening Round in Green Bay, WI produced some of
the wildest and most exciting racing ever. It
all boiled down to the eight rider six lap Main
Event that had to be re-started four times! Due
to crash damage and mechanical failure there
were only five machines able to make the final
start of the Main. Des Moines, IAs Steve Palmer
led the race wire to wire on his Yamaha Banshee
pocketing a cool $1,000 cash for his efforts.
Second place finisher was Daniel Jensen and
third place finisher was Chuck Calvert.
