Outlaw QX Series Expands with Utility Quads

All MX and QX riders in NY, PA, NJ and New England should take notice and look at this new racing series. Four NYS race promoters, Mark Emmett of Savannah MX, Adam Hopkinson of Thornwood MX, Fred Mang of Twister Valley MX and Jim Simmons of Thunder Ridge Sports have joined forces to host a new racing series in Central NY called “The Outlaw MX Series”. This series shows promise to be very popular and competitive as it is open to riders outside the normal membership roster and boundaries.

The goal of the series is to expand the competition rider base in the Central New York area by offering a condensed series of races, with the emphasis being put on maximizing track time and excitement. In addition, each of the four tracks offers unique track qualities and challenges for the riders. The Outlaw MX Series will consist of 12 motorcycle only races spread over the 4 tracks with prizes and awards for the winners following each event. The series will begin in June and end in late September.

Final preparations are also being made for a sister “Outlaw QX Series” as all four tracks are adding a utility quad run as companions to their quad MX tracks. This series will follow the same outline established for the “The Outlaw MX Series”. It will consist of a total of 8 races and will ensue in conjunction with Rock Maple Racing. Savannah MX will start The Outlaw MX Series off on Saturday June 9th. The June Day Jam will include an open practice from 10am to 3 pm. Live bands will begin at 4pm and continue until dark. Sunday, June 10th will be the official start to the 1st Annual Outlaw MX Series.

There will also be series ending prizes and awards to be presented at a picnic, barbeque and open ride day that brings together both rider groups. This gathering and ride day will be held on Sunday, November 11th at Thunder Ridge Sports to replace the customary ceremonial banquet.
