(Fort Plain, NY) Twister Valley Sports Complex in Fort Plain, NY will play host to Round 1 of the 10- race 2007 Can-Am ATV Series presented by the New England Dodge Dealers, Sunday June 10th. Gates open at 8 am and races begin promptly at 9 am. Twister Valley, however has prepared the facility for a long weekend of Rock Maple Racing activities. Saturday will now become a pre-race practice session from 9 am to 3:30 pm, allowing riders to test and prepare their ATVs for the Sunday races. The fee for the Saturday practice session is $25.00. In addition, the quads will have a special Nightcross race for quad riders on the fully lit stadium style Supercross track from 6 to 10 pm on Saturday night. This special race is open to all quad riders including non RMR members. Entry fees are $30.00 per class.

Twister Valley is dedicated to become a more versatile venue by being more responsive to the ATV rider’s wants and needs. In that spirit they have allowed RMR to reconfigure parts of its main track to make it more quad friendly. Furthermore, this has opened up new opportunities to host other events in addition to another round of Rock Maple Racing scheduled for August 5th.

The increasingly popular Nightcross Series will again be held this year, this time with a new wrinkle. Twister Valley has teamed up with Thunder Ridge Sports to form a Nightcross series called Twisted Thunder. Twisted Thunder will include some of Twister Valley’s Nightcross Series races and some of Thunder Ridge’s Night Owl Races into a unique, two track, night racing series which combines MX and QX into each event.

Twister Valley will also play host to a couple of quad only events as part of the newly created, New York State Outlaw Quad Series, with Round 1 of RMR’s Can –Am ATV Series being one of them. Rock Maple Racing will allow non-member quad racers to join in some CNY Outlaw racing on Sunday for the price of a one day membership fee, plus entry fees.

Twister Valley is located on State Highway 5S, a few miles from exit 29 on the New York State Thruway (I-90) From exit 29, turn right onto East Main Street and follow Route 5 South. After Main St./Route 5S turns slightly to the left, make a right onto Canal St and merge with NY Route 80. Continue to follow Route 5S until you see Twister Valley on the left.
