POINTS BATTLES REMAIN
TIGHT FOLLOWING FINAL QUALIFYING ROUND AT
RACEWAY PARK
ENGLISHTOWN, N.J. (Aug. 19, 2007)
-- The battle between John Natalie, Jr. and
Dustin Wimmer went into overdrive Sunday
morning, as the two SuperQuad Pro 450 riders
continued to battle for championship supremacy
during the Raceway Park National WPSA
PowerSports ATV Tour event at Old Bridge
Township Raceway Park. Meanwhile, in QuadTerrain
Pro Stock, Jesse West also padded his points
lead.
SuperQuad Pro 450
Natalie (No. 13 Elka, Maxxis/Honda) just came
out ahead of Wimmer (No. 191 MSR, Pro Taper,
Yoshimura/Suzuki) in a physically grueling
second heat of SuperQuad Pro 450 qualifying.
Though Natalie gained two more points on Wimmer,
the title chase is still very much up in the air
with just five points separating the two.
The starting lineup for today's final,
scheduled for approximately 3 p.m. today is:
Natalie, Doug Gust (No. 55 Team Rockstar, MSR,
Pro Taper, Yoshimura/Suzuki), Wimmer, Josh
Creamer (No. 9 Monster Energy Drink/Yamaha) and
Keith Little (No. 12 Lonestar/Honda).
QuadTerrain Pro Stock
Rory Beckman (No. 10 Jack Link's/Arctic Cat)
took the top spot in QuadTerrain qualifying,
with teammate Daryl Rath (No. 67 Jack
Link's/Arctic Cat) running second. West (No. 888
West Racing/Arctic Cat), who qualified third
grabbed two more points on Scott Kilby (No. 207
Warnert Racing/Can-Am), who qualified fifth.
The Raceway Park National concludes this
afternoon with Pro finals, as well as a full
card of Amateur racing.
