Jeremy Lawson out for
AMA Pro ATV Open Invitational
One spot opens up
MORGANTOWN, Wv. (August 22, 2007)
- The AMA PRO ATV Series Manager Harv Whipple
announced that Jeremy Lawson, of Battletown,
Ky., will sit out the inaugural AMA Pro ATV Open
Invitational at Steel City Raceway on August 25.
"[Jeremy] has been sick for the last week and
will not be able to make the AMA Pro ATV Open
because of this," Harv Whipple said. "He is
extremely disappointed as he was looking forward
to celebrating his birthday in Steel City [on
August 25], but without being able to train or
ride, he did not want to chance it and wanted to
let us know ASAP understanding there is a
waiting list to get in."
The twenty handpicked entries will compete
this Saturday in a special one-moto the AMA Pro
ATV Open format, following the lead of
prestigious invitational supercross events like
the Rockstar Energy Drink US Open in Las Vegas.
This unique event will bring the fastest AMA Pro
ATV riders in front of the national caliber
crowd in Delmont, PA for the first time in
history. The winner will take home $5,000 of the
$10,000 purse, along with bragging rights that
come with the AMA Pro ATV Open Championship No.
1 plate.
