Arctic Cat 700H1 Debut Dominates at First Ever

- Deep water holes, mud-strewn highline poles
and man-size boulders. These are the conditions
that the new Arctic Cat 700 H1 conquered at its
debut race, while capturing the AMA/Maxxis ATV
Endurocross first and third place podiums.
Coming off a WPSA championship winning season
aboard his 650H1, Team Arctic/West Racing’s
Jesse West outpaced the competition again to win
the ATV Endurocross race in Guthrie, Oklahoma.
Not only did Jesse win his heat race, and the
main event, the fastest overall lap time was
posted aboard his 700H1; even against the newest
450 sport quads.
The podium finishes didn’t end there for
Arctic Cat. Jesse’s brother, Josh West, powered
past everyone from dead last after first corner
carnage, to passing the entire field for a
strong third place finish.
Josh commented on his finish, “It’s great to
debut the 700H1 on a technical track like this.
The engine pulls so hard! I got a really bad
start. One more lap and I could have passed for
second place, but just ran out of time. This was
a really fun track and obstacles to race on.”
WPSA National Quad Terrain champion Jesse
West went on to say, “It was nice to see my
brother on the podium with me. It’s really a
statement for West Racing and Arctic Cat to win
a championship aboard a 650H1 as well as a major
indoor terrain race on a 700H1 in the same year!
We’re serious about winning.”
