Warnert Racing Wraps up Season Championships
with a Clean Sweep!
Warnert Racng’s riders set out this season
with one goal, sweep the class championships.
that may have been a lofty goal but
determination, skill and excellent riding has
made the goal a reality. Richard Cecco finalized
the deal by winning the 4x4 Open Class at this
weekends event, marking Warnert Racing as truly
the dominate force in the 4x4 classes.
Round #12 of the Can Am GNCC Series was held
in St. Clairsville Ohio at the well known
Powerline Park facility. Eleven miles of rocks,
ruts, tree's and DUST awaited the nearly 400
riders. The extreme dry conditions in the region
would set up one of the most dust filled events
of recent memory. Visibility would be a huge
factor during the race and when piloting a
machine as big and fast as Warnert Racing Can-Am's,
seeing the track ahead is paramount to not only
winning, but for survival!
4x4 Open
Entering this round, Richard Cecco had to
accomplish one thing to secure the championship,
and that was finish ahead of fellow Can Am racer
Bryan Buckhannon. Cecco would not lead at the
start but soon made the passes needed to
overtake the lead. Cecco's Can Am was but a
yellow blur through the trees as he expertly
handled everything the course threw at him. With
dust so bad in many sections that visibility was
near zero, Cecco plowed ahead and never looked
back, crossing the finish line ahead of
Buckhannon and joined his Warnert Racing
Teammates making it a sweep of the 4x4 class
championships!

4x4 Limited
Michael Swift could have taken it easy on
the competition this round as he had wrapped up
a stellar year and had secured the class
championship at round #11.Unfortunatley for the
competition, Swift is a winner and won't back
off the throttle until the checkered flag is
out! Swift battled early on to take the lead and
never looked back, marking his 10th class win of
the 2007 season.
4x4 Lites
Cliffton Beasley as well had wrapped up
his class championship coming into this round of
racing. Beasley wasn't handing out sympathy as
he laid the smack down for the 9th time this
season by taking the class win yet again! With
dust billowing from behind his screaming Can Am,
the competition wasn't even an issue as he
rolled to the win. Beasley finished with over 5
minutes to spare as he did his part for another
Warnert Racing sweep!
The series heads to the final round that will
be held in Crawfordsville, Indiana on October
27th. Warnert Racing will be ready once again to
do what we have been doing all
season....dominate! With the course spanning 14
miles of Indiana countryside, and well known for
getting nasty, Warnert Racing takes aim at
another chance to prove we are the force to be
reckoned with when it comes down to cross
country racing!
