Yamaha to Promote Glen Helen Opener of AMA Pro ATV MX Series at this Weekend’s Anaheim Supercross

ANAHEIM, Calif. (Jan 16, 2007) – Fans attending this weekend’s Anaheim Supercross, Round 2 of Monster Energy AMA Supercross an FIM World Championship, can visit a special information booth to learn more about the 2008 ITP/Moose Racing AMA Pro ATV Motocross season, which kicks off March 9 at Glen Helen Raceway in San Bernardino, Calif.

The Glen Helen Raceway staff will run the booth, and fans can enter a drawing for event tickets and get additional series info. Yamaha factory ATV racer Pat Brown, the winner of the first-ever AMA Pro ATV Open at Steel City, will be on hand throughout the day, along with two replicas of his YFZ450 race ATV. One machine will be parked at the Team Yamaha factory supercross semi and another at the Glen Helen booth.

“Yamaha is proud to support supercross, motocross and ATV racing, so we are proud to put Pat’s Steel City AMA ATV Open machine right next to Grant Langston’s AMA/Toyota Motocross Championship-winning YZ450F at our factory semi,” said Yamaha’s Donnie Luce. “Pat is a great rider and we’re happy to have him represent us this weekend and in the upcoming AMA Pro ATV MX Championship.”

The 11-round 2008 ITP/Moose Racing AMA Pro ATV Motocross season kicks off March 9 at Glen Helen Raceway in San Bernardino, Calif. The 10-round 2008 ATVA Amateur motocross series starts March 29 and 30 at Mill Creek Raceway in Pell City, Ala. For more information about AMA Pro ATV and ATVA Motocross, visit www.atvmotocross.com.
