Cycle Announces 2008 MX Race Team

Burgard Cycle is pleased to announce it’s 2008
MX racing team. The Burgard Race Team,
managed by Chuck Lehr, is racing the ATVA Suzuki
Regional Championship Series and most of the
ATVA Nationals. They will also make
appearances in select WPSA and district 6 races.
“We’ve put together a well rounded team who are
excited to win and race their best,” says Izzy
Burgard, owner of Burgard Cycle.
Leading the Burgard Race Team roster is Pro-Am
rider, Randy Lehr (#110). Randy dominates
everywhere he goes and 2008 will be no exception
for this talented racer. Among many
stellar performances and overall wins in 2007,
the highlight of his last years race
season was holding a 41 second lead over his
Pro-Am competition at the High Point Suzuki
Championship Race. Known to run at pro
level speeds, Randy is easily one of the
regions fastest racers.
The Burgard Race Team will also cover several
amateur and women’s MX classes. Teammate,
Zach Winters (#126) is looking to take on the
competition in A class on his Burgard Honda
TRX450R. Kelly Winters (#126) made
the switch from a YFZ450 to a Suzuki LT-R450 and
is training hard to be a top women’s class
racer. James Henry (#64) and Kevin Mengal
(#32) will represent the team in the 25+ class.
Top District 6, B class racer, John Grove
(#38J), will push his YFZ450 to the podium in
the college age class. The youngest racer
on the team, Landon Herbst (#24), has been
working hard and anxiously awaiting his first
race in B class. Look for C class racer,
Rusty Wynegar (#113) to dominate in his class.
Burgard Cycle is also proud to support local
powerhouse, Tyler Dommel in the 300cc class.
The team is sponsored by and racing with Burgard
a-arms, swing arms, and stems, the new Dunlop
Quadmax MX tires, CP Pistons, RPM Axles, flexx
bars, Fly racing gear, Uni Filters, Final Touch
Restyling Graphics, and Fox Shox.
Breezewood Proving Grounds, Cardio Stack, and
Action Motorsports are also
sponsoring the Burgard Race Team. “We are
really excited to work with some of the leading
ATV companies and one of the best MX parks
on the east coast. Burgard has made us
some phenomenal new products. The team is
also thrilled to be included in the testing and
introduction of the new Dunlop Quadmax MX tire.
Dunlop made an amazing MX tire that is far
superior to any tire we’ve tried. We can’t
wait to get out there and race our best.
